Arafat Day sermon to be broadcast in five languages including Urdu

The Arafat Day sermon will be broadcast in five languages — English, French, Indonesian, Urdu, and Persian, the General Presidency for Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has announced. The sermon will be available on smartphone app as well as on website of the presidency. The project witnessed a technical and organizational development that would enable users to benefit from translations in the holy sites.

Government Hajj scheme applicants to get a full refund

The Religious Affairs Ministry of Pakistan has decided to return the money of this year’s successful applicants of government’s Hajj scheme. Imran Siddiqui, the ministry’s spokesperson said that an emergency meeting was convened to discuss the mechanism after Saudi Arabia’s plans to host the pilgrimage in closed borders. Only 1000 pilgrims residing in the Kingdom will be allowed to perform Hajj this year.
