Modern day Tram service is to be built in Lahore based on the famous British era tram service. Punjab Transport Development has signed an agreement with CRSC International, a Chinese and Inkon Group of the Czech Republic in this regard. The project will be built in several stages, first stage will include up to 50 electric powered trams with a 35 km track on Canal road,Lahore.
