Chairman NDMA Lt General Inam Haider Malik has dispatched three tons of emergency relief consignment to Turkiye and Syria through PAF C-130 on orders of Prime Minister Shehbaz Shareef. The confirmed death toll across the two countries has soared above 4,300 after a swarm of strong tremors near the Turkiye-Syria border — the largest of which measured at a massive 7.8-magnitude.
Unidentified planes struck targets in Syria near the border with Iraq on Friday, killing eight Iran-backed Iraqi militiamen. This is an attack that comes amid soaring tensions between the US and Iran according to Syrian activists and Iraqi officials. An Iraqi security official said warplanes targeted two vehicles carrying missiles on the Syrian side of the border.

Turkish President announced military operation against US-backed Kurdish forces in northeastern Syria three days after Trump administration unexpectedly announced withdrawal of US troops stationed in the region. The Turkish leader discussed the operations’s goal that was to neutralise terror threats against Turkey and preservation of Syria’s territorial integrity which will lead to establishment of safe zone.
5-year-old, Riham, held her two baby sisters, as the building in Ariha Town, Idlib province, collapsed on top of them after a Syrian Government air strike. While she was herself trapped under the rubble, She held on to her two sisters to stop them from falling off the edge. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.
