Former professional boxer Mike Tyson and renowned American rapper DJ Khaled were sighted performing Umrah in Makkah this week. The latter shared a glimpse of their visit on Instagram with a heartfelt caption. In another Instagram post, Khaled also disclosed that Mike Tyson, who reportedly accepted Islam in 1992 was present at the pilgrimage site too.

Authorities in Saudi Arabia arrested a man late on Friday for crashing his car into the outer-perimeter gate of the Grand Mosque in Makkah. The driver – a Saudi national – was found in an unnatural state and was immediately detained and will be referred to the public prosecution.

Tunisian woman completes 53-day journey to Makkah on bicycle

A Tunisian national, Sara Haba, has become the first woman to reach Makkah on a bicycle.  She started off from her home country Tunisia and cycled for over 53 days to Makkah covering a distance of more than 3,000 kilometres. Haba travelled across the deserts in Egypt and Sudan and documented her journey on Instagram and YouTube.
