Kuwait to print 100,000 copies of the Holy Quran in Swedish to distribute them across libraries and schools

Kuwait has decided to print 100,000 copies of the Holy Quran translated into Swedish, a project to emphasise Islamic principles and values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence among all human beings, the state news agency Kuna reported. The Kuwaiti government made the announcement following a directive by Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf al Ahmad al Sabah.

Kuwait to lift decade-long ban on work visas for Pakistan

Kuwait will lift a ban on work visas for Pakistan, announced Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed as the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister begins his two-day official trip to Islamabad. According to Ahmed, Kuwait would start issuing work visas to Pakistanis once the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted. Kuwait had banned work visas for Pakistan in 2011 and despite attempts by previous governments the restrictions could not be lifted. 

After 13 years, Pakistani medical professionals head to Kuwait

Pakistan is sending 600 medical professionals to Kuwait, and a first batch of 221 doctors, nurses and technicians is all set to fly out on Thursday after a gap on 13 years. A second group of 200 medical professionals will also fly to Kuwait in the coming months, under an agreement signed between the two countries in July this year.
