Shadab and Shaheen among ICC T20 World Cup Player of the Tournament nominees

Two Pakistani players — pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi and all-rounder Shadab Khan, have been shortlisted for the T20 World Cup 2022 Player of the Tournament award. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has nominated nine exceptional performers for the award. Shadab is the joint highest wicket-taker along with Shaheen for Pakistan with 10 wickets in hand in the mega tournament.

Veteran all-rounder Nida Dar was on Monday named the Women’s Player of the Month for October by the International Cricket Council (ICC), owing to her performances during the Women’s Asia Cup. India’s Virat Kohli, on the hand, bagged the Men’s Player of the Month award following a series of star performances during the ongoing T20 World Cup.

Former Indian Minister makes a fool of himself after failing to understand Imran Khan’s political Tweet

In a rather embarrassing burst out, former Indian minister Rajeev Shukla made a fool of himself after failing to understand PM Imran Khan’s tweet regarding the current political situation in Pakistan. In a Tweet, PM Khan had congratulated the Pakistani team for their magnificent performance in the second Test match against Australia after which he referred to country’s political turmoil.

Biomechanics lab at LUMS gets ICC accreditation

After ten years of planning, Pakistan’s biomechanics facility set up at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) has secured ICC accreditation. PCB’s lab is sixth lab in world to be ICC-accredited, joining those in Brisbane, Chennai, Cardiff, Loughborough and Pretoria. The lab can carry out official bowling tests of international and domestic bowlers whose actions are reported as illegal.
