Police arrest man for blackmailing girls with edited pictures and videos

Police officials in Dera Ghazi Khan have apprehended a man for blackmailing girls using fake social media accounts. According to SHO Police Station Civil Lines, Iftikhar Ahmad Malikani, the accused used to add girls to his fake social media accounts. Once befriended, the accused edited pictures and videos of the girls to blackmail and extort money from them.

The man was wanted in numerous complaints of the same nature for more than two years. The police tracked down him through social media and call detail records (CDR) and took him into their custody from Islamabad.
