In what came as a shock to many, Pakistani actress Meera’s mother claimed on Wednesday night that her daughter has been forcefully admitted to a psychiatric facility in New York. Zahra said that she last heard from Meera on April 5th when she called to inform her mother that US police is taking her to a psychiatric facility. Meera’s manager has however, rubbished all claims.
Shafqat Zahra said that she hasn’t heard from her daughter ever since and her in-laws are also clueless about where she has been taken. She appeal to the government of Pakistan in a video message to do something about it.
However, Meera’s manager Muhammad Qasim, who is based in Pakistan rubbished the claims of her being admitted to any facility and explained why such ‘fake news’ could have surfaced. “It seems like Meera’s mother is spreading rumours to resolve a personal dispute and I have nothing more to add because she is, after all, her mother.”
Actor Imran Abbas also took to his social media and narrated the conversation he had with Meera himself.
