Enaam Ahmed, a British-Pakistani Formula racer, set the third-fastest time during the morning session on the 2.4-mile road course at the prestigious Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The road course comprises 14 corners and is renowned for hosting some of the world’s most talented racing drivers. Enaam was racing against several experienced drivers in the series which made his third fastest time of 1:14.86 even more impressive.
Following an outcry on social media, Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama apologised after a video showed him asking a boy to suck his tongue. The Dalai Lama’s office, in a statement, said the leader “wishes to apologize to the boy and his family, as well as his many friends across the world, for the hurt his words may have caused” and that he “regrets” the incident.
Italy’s Fiorentina footballer Luca Ranieri reportedly faked an injury during his club’s game against Inter Milan in order to give his teammate, Sofyan Amrabat, a chance to break his fast. A video shows Moroccan player Amrabat eating a banana and drinking water while Ranieri was on the football pitch receiving treatment for a reported injury during the game.

The Balochistan government has decided to construct 7 tourist resorts at places along the 770 km long coastline in the province and restore the management of existing resorts. The meeting of the governing body of the Balochistan Coastal Development Authority (BCDA) made this decision. Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo chaired the meeting through a video link.
The Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday that the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) decision to postpone polls to the Punjab Assembly till Oct 8 was unconstitutional and fixed May 14 as the date for polls in the province. The ECP had on March 22 announced that the elections in Punjab would be held on October 8. The date was earlier set on April 30, in consultation with the president.
Pakistan Peoples Party on Tuesday issued a show-cause notice to its leader Nabeel Gabol for making an insensitive comment about rape in a podcast. In the video of the podcast, which went viral on social media, Mr Gabol used the example of rape to talk about being overpowered by the opposition and said some seriously disturbing things like “when rape is imminent, just enjoy it”.
Dr Salman Khan became the first Pakistani to complete six major marathons in the world which consists of runs in Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, and New York City under the Abbott World Marathon Majors. A total of 11 Pakistanis or American and British citizens of Pakistani origin participated in the Tokyo marathon on March 5, including five women.
Parvez Elahi was appointed as the president of the PTI on Tuesday, cementing his split with his former party, the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q). “Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, who has stood firm with Chairman Imran [Khan] and PTI since the regime change, has been appointed as the president of PTI. Notification released!” the party said via its official Twitter account while sharing the notification.
