Lahore professor commits suicide amid harassment case

An English language professor  at Government MAO College died by apparent suicide on Saturday amid  harassment case. According to some reports, Professor Afzal took his life after his wife separated and the college administration refused to issue a clearance certificate even after the allegations against him were proven false. The body was handed over to the family without conducting postmortem. 

A hand-written note was found next to the body stating that the deceased decided to take his life and did not want interrogation into his death. Afzal expressed sorrow that this matter had ruined his reputation and asked for written evidence, calling off all false accusations made against him in a letter to his colleague.
