‘The Uni Dating’- IBA students create their own matchmaking app

Looks like students at IBA Karachi are having a hard time finding their soulmates, and hence, have retorted to a fun way of matchmaking. This weekend social media was set ablaze by news of a dating app, called ‘The Uni Dating’, which has been designed exclusively for students of IBA. Believe it or not, students of IBA lamented they have been ‘extremely single’ and were in desperate need of the app.

Education institutions across country, except Sindh, return to normalcy

After a hiatus of months, all educational institutions of Pakistan are back to regular classes from today (Monday), except Sindh. Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood had announced last week that educational institutions across the country will be open five days a week from March 1. The federal government said the decision will apply to all educational institutions.

Lucky Motors to introduce first French car, Peugeot in Pakistan

After introducing KIA into Pakistan, Lucky Motors is now paving the way for French cars in the country.  Pakistan has officially welcomed the first French car in the country, Peugeot 2008, a European crossover SUV. Lucky Motors will use the imported SUV unit for trials and tests. If things go as planned, the company will sell locally assembled Completely Knocked-Down (CKD) Peugeot cars in Pakistan. 

World’s most expensive biryani, topped with gold launches in Dubai

The world’s most expensive biryani has been launched in Dubai by an Indian-origin restaurant named the Bombay Borough UA. Dubbed ‘The Royal Gold Biryani’, the world’s most expensive, gold-garnished biryani offered in Dubai has been topped with 23-karat edible gold and contains small potatoes, boiled eggs, mint leaves, roasted cashews, pomegranate seeds, and fried onions.

Istanbul-Islamabad freight train likely to resume operations on March 4

After a gap of nine years or so, the Istanbul-Islamabad freight train is likely to resume operations on March 4, connecting goods train business of three countries —Turkey, Iran and Pakistan. The container train would start its journey from Istanbul (Turkey) for Islamabad (Pakistan) via Zahidan on March 4. Though the schedule will be reconfirmed in a day or two.
