CNG prices drop from May 1

The All Pakistan CNG Association has announced a cut of Rs12.5 in the prices of CNG from May 1. APCNGA President Ghayas Paracha said this is following the global slump in LNG prices. After the slash, the prices of CNG across Punjab and Islamabad will be Rs72 a kg.  The prices of petroleum products have been cut as well. 

Govt planning to convert 3,000 CNG stations into Electric Vehicle charging stations

In a bid to make Pakistan pollution free in future, the government is planning to convert 3,000 CNG stations across the country into Electric Vehicle charging stations. With launch of its first fully-electric three-wheel vehicle, the government is aiming to manage power consumption because, in the future, large numbers of EVs being charged at home especially during peak hours could overload local power transformers.

Sindh CNG stations to reopen at 10pm on Tuesday

CNG stations across Sindh will reopen Tuesday at 10pm and will supply gas till 6am on Wednesday. According to a representative of the Sui Southern Gas Company a gas shortage has been reported in the fields too and due to low gas pressure there are difficulties in supply to domestic consumers. Sindh will get gas after 50 hours this time.

CNG stations open in Karachi for 12 hours

Hordes of citizens in Karachi made a beeline for compressed natural gas (CNG) stations on Sunday morning after operations resumed temporarily from 7am until 7pm. Sindh government held the Centre responsible for the ongoing gas shortage in the province. Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL )has held a meeting with the CNG leaders’ association and it was decided that a proper schedule will be announced in the next week according to which gas supply for CNG stations will be ensured.
