HEC, universities heads agree on providing A-level students admissions based on provisional results

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) after consultations with the Covid-19 Oversight Committee representing Vice Chancellor from each province and region, and heads of a few private sector universities have agreed to provide provisional admission to A2 students. Students whose exams have been postponed to October 2021 will be granted admission in the Fall 2021 semester so that they would not waste a year.

Schools to remain closed till April 28, O-levels exams to be held as per schedule: Shafqat Mehmood

On-campus classes for grades from nursery to eighth at all private and government schools in Covid-19 affected cities will remain suspended until April 28, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood has announced. O-level exams will also be held as per the schedule, he announced while speaking to the media after chairing a meeting of health and education ministers at the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).

Educational institutions to reopen in the country in phases, starting January 18

Educational institutions in the country will reopen in phases from January 18, the government has announced. Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood said that in the first phase, classes nine to 12 would be allowed to resume. He said that in the next phase, classes one to eight would resume on Jan 25. All higher educational institutions would resume from Feb 1, he added.
