Ali Tareen clarifies Multan Sultans’ franchise fee issue via Tweet

Pakistan Super League (PSL)’s franchise Multan Sultans’ owner Ali Tareen has clarified on the issue regarding team’s annual franchise fee. Tareen said that the team was bought close to the start of HBL PSL4, which is why the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) asked them to pay a portion of the franchise fee upfront and the remainder after the tournament. 

Multan Sultans participated in PSL4 without depositing franchise fee

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Multan Sultans apparently participated in fourth season of HBL PSL without depositing mandatory franchise fee. Reportedly, the annual amount of $6.35 million, needs to be deposited before start of the season. However, four months having gone by and the Multan Consortium, led by Ali Khan Tareen has not made payment to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
