Sonya Hussyn turned down Meray Paas Tum Ho’s lead role

Sonya Hussyn revealed during an interview with Iffat Omar that she turned down Meray Paas Tum Ho’s lead role of Mehwish for all the good reasons. She mentioned that she cannot accept seeing women in such negative light.  She also added that there is no acceptance of women in our society as it is and she did not want to perpetuate more issues by playing this role.  

Meray Paas Tum Ho earned an estimated 2 crores at the box office

Pakistan most watched drama serial, Meray Paas Tum Ho, earned big at the box office, with expected sales at around Rs 2 crores. The last episode which was aired in cinemas made more money than box-office hit films in Pakistan. The drama’s finale success is built on pre-show ticket sales all across Pakistan of three shows which were fully booked.

Petition against airing Meray Paas Tum Ho finale dismissed

The last episode of the hit TV show Meray Paas Tum Ho is set to air without any hurdles on Saturday night after a civil court in Lahore dismissed a petition against the screening of the finale. After statements and documents from representatives from the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority and ARY Digital were examined, the show received clearance from the censor board of Punjab to screen in cinemas proving that there was nothing inappropriate in it 

Lahore woman moves court against Meray Pass Tum Ho finale

A woman filed a petition in a Lahore civil court on Wednesday to stop the final episode of Meray Pass Tum Ho from airing. The show has repeatedly passed derogatory comments about women and has disrespected their status, said the woman, identified as Maham Chaudhry. She stated that this is an attempt to show omen as weak and less important in society and this does not benefit Pakistani women at all.

Meray Paas Tum Ho finale sells Rs1.5m in advance tickets

Advance bookings for the last episode of the Humayun Saeed and Ayeza Khan starrer Meray Paas Tum Ho have hit a record high of 1.5million in sales. The drama is scheduled to be screened at cinemas and TV sets across the country on January 25 (Saturday). The highest number of sales was from Cinepax.
