Religious Affairs Minister Noorul Haq Qadri has written a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan suggesting that International Hijab Day should be celebrated on March 8, in an effort to express solidarity with Muslim women across the globe. He also said that anti-Islamic slogans should not be raised on International Women’s Day, under the name of Aurat March.
