Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is all set to receive the first 12 of 26 dual-seat JF-17B Thunder aircraft in the near future, according to the revelation made by Air Chief Marshall, Mujahid Anwar Khan. The delivery of remaining jets will be completed in 2021. Out of the 12, 4 multirole fighters have been built at the Chengdu Aircraft Industry Corporation (CAC) whereas the remaining 8 at Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) in Kamra.

Israeli aircraft struck Hamas positions in Gaza early Wednesday, the military said, after Palestinians in the enclave launched projectiles and explosive balloons at the Jewish state. According to army, the fighter jets targeted Hamas terror targets in the southern Gaza strip including a weapons manufacturing site. Prior to the Israeli attack, militants in Gaza launched three projectiles and a number of “explosive balloons” at southern Israel.
Five Pakistani students have been diagnosed with coronavirus in China, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing confirmed on Wednesday. He also said that the Pakistani students were immediately isolated and shifted to a hospital after they showed symptoms of coronavirus and also the government is trying to control the spread of the virus outside China.
President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay an official visit to Pakistan on February 13th to cement relations between the two countries. The Turkish President will be accompanied by a delegation of Turkish businessmen. He requested that Pakistani businessmen who are interested in B2B with the delegates are requested to contact the Trade and Development Authority of Pakistan.
Nawaz’s treatment has been delayed twice as his daughter, Maryam Nawaz was not allowed to visit him, according to PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif. Shehbaz, who is in London for his brother’s treatment said that the doctors are saying Nawaz’s health is in a delicate position. He says the former prime minister’s daughter, PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz should be allowed to visit her father on humanitarian grounds.
A Chinese national, suspected of having coronavirus, was shifted to an isolation ward of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) from the Islamabad airport. Bing Yang was diagnosed with high temperature during the screening of 122 passengers who landed at Islamabad airport from Beijing. High temperature being one of the major symptoms of coronavirus, the authorities immediately separated Yang from other passengers and shifted him to the Pims hospital.
Hundreds of trucks loaded with trade goods have got stranded at the Pakistan side of the Torkham border as Afghan authorities have refused them entry without route permit. Pakistani transporters at the border said that the Afghan government had imposed the restriction in response to a similar condition the Pakistani authorities had imposed for all Afghan drivers.

The body of a driver employed by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) was found hanging from a tree in Islamabad on Tuesday, police said. The body of the man was found hanging from a tree in a green area next to Ibn-e-Sina road in the capital’s Sector G-9/2, within the jurisdiction of Margalla police station. Police took the body into custody and started an investigation into the death.
