Najam Sethi gets served a Rs. 10 billion defamation notice by PM Imran

Veteran journalist Najam Sethi has been served a defamation notice of Rs. 10 billion by Prime Minister Imran Khan’s counsel Babar Awan. Sethi has been served for claiming on his TV show that Bushra Bibi, Khan’s wife, had filed for divorce. Azhar Laghari, the Central Head of PTI’s Public Relations, shared the copy of the notice on his Twitter handle.

Saudi Crown Prince personally invites PM to visit Saudi Arabia

During a telephonic conversation, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salmanbin Abdulaziz has invited Prime Minister Imran Khan to visit the kingdom on his way back from New York where he would be attending the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session. During the conversation, the premier said that it was Pakistan’s top priority to develop relations with Saudi Arabia. 

PM’s trip to US cost Rs.11mn as opposed to Sharif’s 88mn, Zardari’s 120mn

The official expenses of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s maiden three-day trip to United States have been released by the federal government. PM Imran’s visit cost almost Rs11 million to the national exchequer, which comes down to $67,180. In comparison, according to the government’s claim, former premier Nawaz Sharif had doled out $549,854 during his 2015 trip to US whereas PPP Supremo Asif Zardari spent $752,682.

PM Imran orders restoration of previous naan, roti prices

The federal cabinet decided has decided to bring down prices of naan and roti to their previous rates throughout the country. At present naan is selling at Rs12 to Rs15 in different cities of the country, as opposed to Rs. 8 and Rs. 10 earlier. Similarly, roti is available at Rs10 to Rs12 while its previous rate was Rs7 to Rs8.

PM’s austerity drive saves Rs.100m of public money

First time in Pakistan, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s austerity drive has saved public money worth over Rs100 million during his recent trip to the USA. The PM’s decision to take commercial flights for the US trip and travelling through Qatar airways has set examples for many. The PM scrapped practices of former premiers of engaging at least two long-haul jets.

PM Imran’s invitation to Pakistan accepted by Donald Trump

The Foreign Office has revealed that US President Donald Trump has accepted Prime Minister Imran Khan’s invitation to visit Pakistan. During his first first official meeting with Trump, PM Khan extended an invitation to the American President. PM Khan who was warmly welcomed by the US President held fruitful talks on strengthening partnership and cooperation between the two countries.

PM Imran gifted cricket bat by US President Trump

Prime Minister Imran Khan was gifted a cricket bat by US President Donald Trump along with the picture of President Eisenhower – the only US President who had watched a Test match in Pakistan. President Trump said that it is a great honour to have a “very popular, a great athlete, one of the greatest, the prime minister of Pakistan.”

President Trump warmly welcome PM Imran Khan to White House

Prime Minister Imran Khan has arrived at the White House for his first one-on-one meeting with US President Donald Trump. PM Imran, accompanied by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, was warmly welcomed by President Trump outside the White House. Both shook hands, waved at the eager PTI supporters and headed inside White House to commence their first meeting.

An annual study based on online interviews has placed Prime Minister Imran Khan and Malala Yousafzai in list of World’s Most Admired People of 2019. The list topped by Michelle Obama and Bill Gates, has placed PM Imran and Nobel Prize laureate Malala in the top 20. World known politicians and many Hollywood and Bollywood stars have also made to the list.
