The ministry of Science and Technology has said the “incident” between federal minister Fawad Chaudhry and journalist Sami Ibrahim should not be treated as a “clash between two institutions but as a conflict between two individuals”. A day ago, Ibrahim had filed a complaint against Chaudhry for slapping him, and accused him of using threatening language.
As per new orders of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), passengers traveling abroad will now be searched by Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), Airport Security Force (ASF) and Pakistan Customs at the same counter, saving them the hassle of going through the screening process thrice which was causing a lot of inconvenience to the passengers and wasting time.

Asif Ali Zardari, who is already in jail, and his sister are among the main accused in the case of money laundering of billions through fake accounts.
Capital Development Authority (CDA) had floated Rs1.94 million tender notice for construction of new cages for parrots and Rs17.83 million and Rs13 million for procurement of Terracotta and Matqa pots for nursery at President House, Islamabad, and “different ornamental plants and Morpankh plants” respectively. Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the Ministry of Finance to increase superannuation age limit of civil servants and early retirement of dead wood within two days. Current superannuation age of civil servants is 60 years, but due to increase in average life expectancy to 69 years, at least three years can be added to retirement age.
PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has appreciated the PPP-led Sindh government’s decision to set aside a Rs1 billion fund for the welfare of HIV infected patients. He also advised all other provinces to follow Sindh’s example. The facility of registration of one mobile phone on one international passport will soon be revoked by the government. The decision has been taken to generate additional revenue as well as to stop the misuse of the baggage rule after the DIRBS system, that aims to curtail smuggling of mobile phones failed to achieve the desired results.
