Ertugrul cast gets trolled on social media

Actor Ahsan Khan wants people in Pakistan to know it is not ok to troll actors and taking to twitter he said that this sort of behaviour was shameful. The actor was referring to the recent trend on social media where people were calling out and trolling stars of the Turkish series Ertugul Ghazi. 

President of Turkey to visit Pakistan next week

President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay an official visit to Pakistan on February 13th to cement relations between the two countries. The Turkish President will be accompanied by a delegation of Turkish businessmen. He requested that Pakistani businessmen who are interested in B2B with the delegates are requested to contact the Trade and Development Authority of Pakistan.

PM Imran Khan to invite Turkey to join CPEC projects

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that he will be inviting Turkey to join the multi-billion dollar CPEC projects. He further added that he hopes to strengthen ties with Turkey. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to visit Islamabad mid-February, which he hopes will build on the brotherly relationship between Islamabad and Ankara as he will be bringing various buisness houses and investors with him. 

Turkey’s leading defense company opens its first office in Pakistan

Turkey’s leading defense giant, Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) has opened its first office in Pakistan at the country’s National Science & Technology Park. The technopark was inaugurated by Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, who also visited the TAI office. TAI’s deal is to sell 30 T129 ATAK helicopters to Pakistan and the company’s aim is to positively conclude the ongoing process. 

Saudi Arabia denies being involved in Pakistan’s absence from KL Summit

Saudi Arabia on Saturday rejected reports that it was involved in Pakistan’s absence from the Kuala Lumpur Summit. The Saudi embassy in Islamabad released its statement a day after Turkish media quoted President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as saying Pakistan had decided to stay away from the recently concluded summit because of Saudi Arabia’s threats of economic sanctions.

Pakistan boycotts Indian minister’s speech at Turkey conference

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi boycotted on Monday Indian Minister VK Singh’s speech at the Heart of Asia conference in Turkey. As soon as the Indian minister began his speech, Qureshi rose from his seat and walked out of the hall. The boycott was in protest against the brutalities and the grave violation of human rights exercised by the India government in Kashmir, according to Qureshi.

Turkish historical series to be aired on PTV in Urdu on PM’s orders

Turkey’s own Game of Thrones, a fiction series called Dirilis: Ertugrul’ will soon be aired on Pakistan’s state television, PTV, in Urdu dubbing. Prime Minister Imran Khan had recommended all Pakistanis to watch the drama serial which is based on history of the Muslim Oghuz Turks. All five seasons of the show will be dubbed and aired next year.

Trump tells Erdogan: ‘Don’t be a fool’ in latest letter

“Don’t be a fool,” Donald Trump has warned his counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in his latest letter. The letter was sent the day Turkey launched its incursion into northeastern Syria. Three days after appearing to greenlight an invasion by pulling US troops from the Kurdish-dominated region, Trump told the Turkish president he would wreck Ankara’s economy if the invasion went too far.

Turkish President Erdogan’s visit to Pakistan postponed: FO

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to Pakistan, expected on 23rd October has been postponed. Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal confirmed the news, hours after a Turkish diplomat tweeted about the matter. The FO spokesperson added that a new date for the visit is yet to be determined but did not state any reasons for the postponement of the visit. 

Turkish president to visit Pakistan on October 23rd

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay an official visit to Pakistan on 23rd of this month to cement relations between the two countries. Prime Minister Imran Khan had telephoned the Turkish president and said that Mr Erdogan would visit Pakistan “later this month”. Erdogan will also extend full support to Pakistan’s stance on the Kashmir issue.
