PM office apologizes to photographer for sharing Gilgit pictures without credits

In a bid to promote local tourism, recently Prime Minister Imran Khan shared beautiful pictures of autumn season in Gilgit Baltistan, but forgot to give credits to the photographer. After the pictures were widely shared, the photographer, Asmar Hussain, thanked the PM but wished the watermark hadn’t been removed from the snap. However, the PM’s office apologized to the photographer.

PM Imran announces monthly stipend for two million special persons in the country

 Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced that around two million families would benefit from the government’s new Ehsaas Kafaalat Policy aimed at extending financial support to special persons. As the world observed the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the PM said on Twitter that under the new programme, the special persons would be eligible for a monthly stipend of Rs2000. 

PM Imran Khan appeals to Mark Zuckerberg to ban Islamophobic content

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan has written to Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, requesting a ban on Islamophobic content on the social media platform. The PM appealed a ban akin to the Facebook ban on posts that deny the Holocaust. Khan wrote to Zuckerberg peppered with examples of recent anti-Muslim laws and statements from the Indian and French governments.

Prime Minister Imran Khan in his latest recommendation to the nation has suggested the youth read Elif Shafak’s  Forty Rules of Love. In his attempt to bring the youth closer to Islam, the premier said that the book had deeply inspired him as it was about divine love. Written by a Turkish author, Shafak, The Forty Rules of Love was published in March 2009. 

Nawaz has India’s support in order to ‘weaken the army’: PM Khan

Prime Minister Imran Khan has claimed that PML-N supremo Nawaz Shari has India’s support to ‘weaken the army’. In an interview with a local news channel he said that Nawaz is playing a dangerous game; ‘Altaf Hussain played the same game’. The PM added that relations between government and military are the “best in history” because all institutions are working in their spheres.

PM Imran’s UN General Assembly speech most-watched among world leaders

Prime Minister Imran Khan’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly is the most-watched video among world leaders on the UN’s YouTube page. With more than 170,000 views since it was uploaded on on September 25, Imran takes the lead on US President Donald Trump’s UNGA address which has close to 140,000 views since it was uploaded on September 22. In third place is Indonesian President Joko Widodo’s speech. 

Tahir Ashrafi made special representative to PM on religious harmony

Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi has been appointed as special representative to the prime minister on religious harmony. Maulana Ashrafi, who is also chairman of Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) and president of Muttahida Ulema Board, is known for speaking out against social injustice and advocating for ending discord based on faith. The appointment of Maulana Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi shall be in honorary capacity.

PM Khan tasks FO, FIA with bringing Nawaz Sharif back at earliest

Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed Foreign Office (FO) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to use all legal means to bring back PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif from UK. This important decision was taken in a meeting of the federal cabinet chaired by PM Imran Khan. It has been decided to write a fresh letter to the British government for repatriation of Sharif.

Poll reveals Imran Khan ‘better PM than his predecessors of 15 years’

A poll conducted by UAE-based publication Khaleej Magazine suggests that Prime Minister Imran Khan is a better premier than his predecessors of the last 15 years. According to the poll results PM Imran took the lead with 93.2% votes. Imran was followed by former prime ministers Nawaz Sharif and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi who managed to get only 4.7% of the total votes.
