Duties on all medical equipment imported into Pakistan removed

All duties levied on medical equipment imported into the country have been removed for the first time in the history of Pakistan, according to Prime Minister Imran Khan. The premier distributed five million health insurance cards to the people of Punjab, calling it the first step of the revival of a country’s health sector, removal of duties on import of medical equipment being the second and the third step is the revision of health reforms.

With the health cards, people of the poor segments of the society will be able to get access to healthcare facilities.
