Sajjad Khan, a Karachi-native and former chief technology officer at rival Mercedes-Benz, was announced on Thursday by Porsche AG, a luxury sports car manufacturer, as a member of the executive board with a focus on Car-IT. According to international media, the decision was made as Volkswagen-owned Porsche prepared for a market listing. Khan will become the eighth member of the executive board.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) took strong exception to recent remarks by PTI Chairman Imran Khan regarding the appointment of the new army chief, saying that it was “aghast at the defamatory and uncalled for” statement. The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has suspended the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority’s (PEMRA) notification, banning the live telecast of former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s speeches. The court suspended the PEMRA’s notification till September 5 and observed that PEMRA “does not have the authority” to issue such orders.

The Indian authorities have held three Indian Air Force (IAF) officers responsible for the Brahmos missile misfire into Pakistan on March 9 and issued the termination orders after completing the probe. The Brahmos missile was misfired into from Haryana and landed in Mian Channu. However, no casualties were caused after its landing except damages to public properties.
The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the parliament on Tuesday summoned former chief justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar to provide explanations regarding the Diamer-Bhasha Dam Fund that was established during his time in the top judicial position. Nisar, the then CJP, had taken the initiative of collecting donations for the Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand dams by launching the fund in July 2018 that was later joined by then prime minister Imran Khan.
