FIA cannot take action against Hareem Shah, TikToker thanks SHC for notice

Looks like famous TikTok star Hareem Shah will get away with yet again another shenanigan, after the Sindh High Court restrained FIA from taking any coercive action against her. A two-judge bench headed by Justice Mohammad Karim Khan Agha restrained FIA from taking any action till March 8, the next date of hearing in connection with a money laundering inquiry.

Court declares Meera to be Atiq-ur-Rehman’s legal wife, actress calls marriage contract fake

A sessions court has declared that Atiq-ur-Rehman is legally the husband of actress Meera. However, the actress, whose real name is Irtiza Rubab, said that Atiq drafted a fake marriage contract and that they were never legally married. Additional Sessions Judge Mazhar Abbas had declared that the nikkahnama [marriage contract] is authentic and therefore Atiq is Meera’s legal husband. 

Sharmeen Obaid is set to make a documentary based on Pakistan’s cricket

Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, a filmmaker who has won two Oscars for documentaries, will collaborate with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on a project. The Oscar-winning director wrote on her Instagram account, “We’re excited to share Pakistan cricket with the world at the start of the HBL PSL.”  She is producing a documentary about Pakistan’s 70-year journey in cricket.

Pakistani singer Nirmala Maghani’s legal team has filed a lawsuit against Zulfikar Khan, aka Xulfi, for copyright infringement over the hit song ‘Tu Jhoom’.Legendary singers performed the song on Coke Studio’s 14th season. Xulfi was accused of copying the melody of a singer from Umerkot. The latest soundtrack for the music franchise replaces Rohail Hyatt with Xulfi.

The Indus Valley International Film Festival named Asim Raza’s romantic comedy Parey Hut Love the Best Film in Wholesome Entertainment. This festival was organized by the South Asia Forum and Creative Heritage. The festival has been described as the first “borderless international traveling film festival” in South Asia. The film Parey Hut Love starred Sheheryar Munawar, Maya Ali, Ahmad Ali Akbar, and Zara Noor Abbas.
